For an equivalent hotel (number of rooms, location) but built without taking into account the environmental factor, new three star Les Aiglons Resort & Spa complex stands out thanks to its very high performance levels in terms of :

• Reduced heating requirements (offices, ECS, swimming pool)
• Reduced electricity use for the lighting
• Summer comfort without resorting to thermodynamic air-conditioning
• Reduced greenhouse gas emissions
• Reduced quantity of drinking water consumed

Thermal insulation

• Optimising the insulation of walls, the terrace roof, inconvertible roofing space, picture windows.
• The building is insulated outside. The balconies are separated from the main structure to avoid heat loss.

Generating heat

• The energy used is natural gas available on the spot.
• Installation of a boiler with dry wood panels specially sized to meet the full requirements of heating the swimming pool.

Ventilation

• Installation of an all new air double flow VMC air conditioning system for the rooms in the older and new parts.

Lighting

• The hotel is equipped with compact fluorescent bulbs enabling reduced energy use in comparison with standard bulbs.

Economic water systems

• Dual-flow 3//6 litre toilet flush systems throughout the building.
• Taps: 6 l/min. flow in the washbasins, and 9 l/min in the showers.
• Thermostatic mixer taps in the showers.
