Where can you practice rafting in Chamonix?

This running water activity is available on several rivers in the Northern Alps, more exactly in Haute-Savoie:

  • Rafting on the Arve – Passy: 20 minutes from Chamonix. This is a course of 7 kms between Passy and Sallanches (6 rapids allowing a first approach to rafting).
  • Rafting in Chamonix on the Arve: The Chamonix side of the Arve is dominated by the steep peaks of the Aiguilles de Chamonix’s north faces
  • Rafting on the Dora Baltea: the Dora Baltea, located in Italy, is the most beautiful waterway of Europe. The Dora Baltea is known to be one of the most sportive rivers in Europe. There, you will experience intense emotions.

Rafting is also for juniors

If your children can already swim and respect the minimum age required by the service provider, there are courses suitable to their age, either in family or with other children.

The equipment is usually provided by the service provider. Just come with swimsuit, towel and closed shoes.
